Professor Rob Williams

Since age 12, I have aspired to become a professional martial arts coach. In high school, when presented with a list of career options, I wrote down "Professional Martial Arts Coach."

My martial arts journey began at 6 with Judo and expanded to include Karate, Wing Chun, Tae Kwan Do, Thai boxing, kickboxing, and Aikido until I discovered Jiu Jitsu in 1997. Blessed with world-class coaches in various disciplines, including the head of the world TKD Federation and the Japanese Team coach, they recognized my passion for quick learning and helping others, shaping me into a coach.

Overcoming shyness, I gained the confidence to lead classes and facilitate public demonstrations, finding joy in witnessing others achieve their goals. "Better Every Day" is more than a motto; it's my commitment to continuous improvement through studying coaching, psychology, and following my mentors' path.

Since 1999, dedicated to Jiu Jitsu in Melbourne, I've earned numerous championships and produced state, national, and international championships. My teaching philosophy values professionalism, yet embraces a relaxed style to make Jiu Jitsu accessible to everyone, regardless of fitness level or competitive aspirations.
